Workshop 1: Story Presentation / Preschool - 1st
Here's a recipe sure to satisfy the hungriest appetite! In this theatrical book presentation, D’Agata will demonstrate the parts of a story by using story-building elements from her book as her ingredients. She’ll put the ingredients together to reveal a book in its entirety for her to read and share! She will also invite the children to create their own book covers using a worksheet she provides. Perfect for preschool thru 1st grade. Large groups welcome. Suggested time: 35min to 1hr. (Tailor to your needs.)
Workshop 2: Story Planning / Grades 1 thru 5
Let’s have some plotting fun! In this interactive, educational workshop students will participate in a unique story-planning session using planners designed by the author. D'Agata's enthusiasm for books, whimsical theatrics, and informative discussions will easily engage children as they learn the important steps to creating stories, book covers, and inventing characters. Grades 1 thru 5th (large groups welcomed).Time: 1hr per group preferred.
Workshop 3: ReLEASE THE MUSE / GRADE 5th thru 8th
Get ready to learn and be a-mused! The author’s punchy intro and powerful writing discussions will entertain & educate students as they participate in a “Chapter Challenge” designed by the author. SCHOOL & LIBRARY VISIT NEWS & REVIEWS
“My daughter really loved your presentation and workshop. She has been writing books all week the way you taught her to and is now dreaming of being an author like you one day.” --Lauren, NH Mom
Dear Tabatha, on behalf of the students and the parents of the South Lawrence East School I would like to thank you for coming to our school on Wednesday. The workshop that you presented was wonderful. The way that you personalized each student's writing and made them feel like a famous author had a tremendous effect on the students and the teachers that were present. Hopefully, in the future, you will be able to visit our school again. Thank you, Mary Carter”
"You have a wonderful ability to keep the students interested and involved, even when the group is large. Involving the students in the writing process and then letting them share their stories really got them excited. I would recommend your programs to any school that is looking for an interactive author visit. Thank you again for coming to our school." Parent, PTO Member

About Me
Tabatha Jean D'Agata grew up in Lawrence, Massachusetts and currently resides in New Hampshire. As a little girl, if she wasn't picking dandelions with her grandmother or eating chocolate, she would write in her countless journals and diaries. As she got older, her love for inventing characters and stories enticed her to join writing critique groups as well as attend many writing workshops. She has authored several children’s books, is a longtime literacy columnist for the Parent Express Newspaper and works as a freelance social media marketer. When Tabatha isn’t working, you’ll find her making memories with her husband, daughter, sons, son-in-law, and three grandsons. Tabatha enjoys spending time with her whole family and trolling the streets of Salem, MA or an old cemetery anytime of the year. She believes in the magic of possibilities, putting a penny in her shoe for good luck and genuine kindness. Oh, and chocolate fixes everything!
